Сближение means "convergence" in russian, it is a part of a series of experiments with different materials by SAlab team. In this project aluminum composite panels were used.
The main idea of the installation is the intersection of lines, at different angles, their convergence, connecting, divergence, symbolizing lifes of different people.
Parametric design approach was used to design the installation. Special attention was paid to “bottom up” method. Because of this, its characteristic feature is variability and partial lack of the final result control. By designing the logic of volume creating, according to main directions, by connecting separate elements, the final volume configuration can be influenced. This makes the installation adaptive to space, number of elements and other conditions.
