Oh, new age pavilion is a part of an exhibition “Russian architecture. New age. 1989-2019”, which is showing projects and important events that happened in architecture during the last 30 years. Several young architectural firms were selected to be a part of the exhibition, including SA lab.

Pavilion SA lab work focus adaptive and technology driven design. The geometry is represents a minimal surface. It consists of 32 aluminum stripes, only 1 mm thick, connected by 480 rivets. The pavilion was produced with parametric design and digital fabrication tools. Architects created Oh, new age in three days, it became possible because of SA lab continuous researches and prototypes development for many projects.

Oh, new age was inspired by minimal material structures and the challenges that architects are facing nowadays: increasing speed of life and, as an outcome, increasing speed in design process, minimal use of resources and construction materials, maximum recycling of built structures.

After the exhibition the pavilion became a part of Artplay SPB collection of modern installations.
“Russian architecture. New age. 1989-2019” exhibition is organized by Project Russia magazine, Union of Architects of Russia, Asadov studio and Project Baltia magazine.
